Fixing up your home doesn’t have to be expensive or time-consuming. There are plenty of small things you can do that will make a big impact. Give your home a mini-makeover by trying one of these five cheap and easy updates.

• Freshen up your kitchen by installing a new backsplash made of inexpensive materials. From chalkboard paint to wallpaper and magnetic paint to tin ceiling tiles, the possibilities are endless. Just be sure to lay down a protective cloth and turn off the power before you get started.
