7 Lemonade and Limeade Recipes to Refresh Your Summer

Who doesn’t love a refreshing lemonade or limeade on a hot summer day? Quench your thirst in our hottest month with a crisp and classic citrus drink. You can make all these easy and from-scratch lemonade and limeade recipes with small additions to the classics. They are so easy to make that one of these drinks will become your new favorite summertime treat.

Classic Lemonade or Limeade Base

Bring 2 cups of sugar and 2 cups of water to a boil and stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let syrup cool. Juice 10 lemons for lemonade, or 12 limes for limeade, and mix into your syrup. Refrigerate until cold. Add 3 cups of cold water. Enjoy!

1. Pink Lemonade

In a large pot, bring 2 quarts of water and 1 bag of frozen cranberries to a boil. Lower heat and simmer until berries pop. Strain mixture and discard berries. Return mixture to the pot. Add 1 ½ cups of sugar and the juice of 3 lemons and 3 oranges. Keep over medium heat and stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and refrigerate. Once juice is cool, add 1 cup to your lemonade base. Enjoy!

2. Cherry Limeade

Add an entire jar of maraschino cherries, including the juice, to your limeade base. Fill a cup halfway with cherry limeade mixture and top off with Sprite. Enjoy!

3. Arnold Palmer

Place 5 cups of water and 7 teabags of your choice in a pitcher and cover; set pitcher in the sun for about two hours midday to steep. Mix tea with your lemonade base for the perfect half-and-half drink. Enjoy!

4. Strawberry-Kiwi Limeade

Cut stems from 10 strawberries and peel 5 kiwis. Puree fruit in blender and mix into your limeade base, mix, and enjoy!

5. Watermelon Lemonade

Use a melon baller to cut 1 seedless watermelon into even spheres. Place watermelon balls in the freezer overnight. Add frozen watermelon cubes to your lemonade base and enjoy!

6. Sparkling Raspberry Limeade

Puree 2 cups of raspberries in a blender and add puree to your limeade base, stirring to combine. Fill a glass with your mixture and top off with raspberry-lime seltzer. Enjoy!

7. Mango-Peach Lemonade Slush

Peel and dice 1 mango and 4 peaches. Add fruit to a pot with ½ cup of brown sugar and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, stirring often, then reduce heat and simmer until fruit is mushy (about 10 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool. Strain and discard fruit, then refrigerate. Add 1 cup of syrup mixture to your lemonade base and mix. Blend with desired amount of ice for a delicious frozen treat.
