A summer job is a great way for teens to try on career choices and discover more about their personal likes and dislikes. A menial job that isn’t mentally challenging, for example, may encourage them to work harder in school and go to college to pursue a career they enjoy. It’s also a chance to look beyond their own interests and discover the importance of doing a good job for their employer.
