Fireworks aplenty in Texas

This Fourth of July, celebrate in style with some of the biggest and most acclaimed fireworks displays in the state of Texas. Here are some of our favorite star-spangled spectaculars and events throughout Texas this month!

Kaboom Town! – July 3, Addison 9:30 p.m.

Known as one of the best places to watch fireworks in the country, Addison’s Kaboom Town! is a truly spectacular sight for Texans of all ages. Enjoy great local food, family fun, the Addison Airport Air Show, and the Addison Kaboom Town! After Party from 5 p.m. to midnight.

Austin Symphony H-E-B July 4th Concert – July 4, Austin 9:30 p.m.

Check out one of the largest July 4th celebrations in Texas with the Austin Symphony Orchestra and more than 100,000 of your closest friends. Set over 400 stunning acres of Lady Bird Lake in Downtown Austin, the ASO delights with patriotic tunes like the classic “1812 Overture” for an hour before the fireworks begin.

Freedom Over Texas – July 4, Houston 9:15 p.m.

Celebrate your Fourth with country stars Sheryl Crow and Martina McBride at the Freedom Over Texas event in Houston. Choreographed to patriotic classics and your favorite radio hits, the fireworks spectacular will dazzle onlookers with a stunning backdrop of the Houston skyline.

Fort Worth Fourth – July 4, Fort Worth, 9:30 p.m.

Grab your sunscreen and your favorite tube and head to the Trinity River for a festival unlike any other! Fireworks are promised to be some of the largest in the Metroplex as 2013 marks the 25th anniversary of the Fort Worth International Sister Cities partnership with the City of Nagaoka, Japan.

July 4 Big Bang Celebration – July 4, Corpus Christi, 9:30 p.m.

For more than 30 years, Corpus Christi has been celebrating Independence Day on the bay. This year, enjoy a unique light show displayed on the Harbor Bridge at 9:15 p.m. and then watch as fireworks are rocketed off the USS Lexington over Corpus Christi Bay.
