Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor, Arlington

For some serious H2O, head to Hurricane Harbor, North Texas’ largest water park, where you can find 47 acres of rides and slides and a 1 million gallon wave pool. Schlitterbahn

  • New Braunfels: Plan a daytrip to Schlitterbahn’s flagship location, or spend a weekend at their resort, where you can rent spaces from a basic hotel room to a five-room vacation home. The water park includes tube chutes, rides, and pools that use spring-fed water.
  • Galveston: This convenient, Houston-adjacent location just got a thrilling new ride: a headfirst mat slide called Infinity Racers. Interested in a slower pace? Float along all day if you like in the wave pool.
